The development on my film project The Bird Can’t Fly suddenly takes place so fast that I can hardly follow. Producers’ mails full of juridical structures and terms speed up and down the globe. Will we be in time or not, that’s the main question. If the whole construction is not ready in a couple of weeks, we can’t start the pre-production in time and it will get too hot to shoot in the desert. In that case we’ll have to postpone the film again, and that is about the last thing I wish.
Although giving trainings is not my daily occupation, I had a very good brainstorm day with 34 enthusiastic municipal officials in an small town near the german border. I hope my contribution helps them to perform the complicated jobs they have to do. I forgot to ask them to keep their fingers crossed for my film… I’m sure that 68 pairs of fingers should help.
