Filmmaking is an occupation for dreamers and I’m a very persistent dreamer, especially when you consider that few if any scripts reach the screen. Since our dream is getting more and more real, the game of bargain and haggle has started; penny-pinching about locations, studio’s, salary’s etc.
Yesterday I was in Rotterdam (at the International Film Market), talking again with some of my producers. They suddenly suggested that instead of shooting on 35 mm I have to shoot on Hi Definition. I know technical developments are incredible but…
I look outside. It snows. Film has to be film, is what my heart tells me. I have to research this HD and 35 story.
