Actually, a kind of double premiere is coming up for me. My first real podcast story appears at DOCS , number 107 – title: een leeg eiland (an empty island) and for the first time in my life I am producing all alone my own film.
The podcast is about the island of Foula where I stayed this summer. It tells about life on this remote island, about the people who live a very different life than most Europeans do. Can be found from 11 January on all podcast platforms at the podcast DOCS.
My new film ‘de fuik’ (the trap) is a project that I have been working on for a long time. For 8 years I filmed a fisherman and his fish trap on Texel. A heavy and almost disappeared form of fishing.
After all these years it is time to start making the film, but that requires money. So, I’m working on finding funds, sponsors and grants so that I can start making this film next year.
