I live in a country where art & culture have been relegated into a residual product of civilization. In this world we artist try to survive. And that is not easy.
Half a year ago – my new film was just released in the Dutch cinema – a second lockdown came. Since then, all museums, cinemas and theatres are closed. Next week they’ll open again. But this long shutdown has created an avalanche of new films. Therefor my new movie, made for the big screen, can now only be seen online.
This is one of the reasons why I focus on a new medium to tell my stories. Podcast. I’m selected for the Oorzaken Academy. An intensive course to give new podcast-makers a flying start in the podcast world. Right now, I’m in the middle of this fantastic roller-coaster. Soon no pandemic can stop me anymore from telling stories.
