In the midst of the montage we still had 1 day of shooting planned. The final scene of the film ‘‘Silent City’‘ has a very complicated special effect shot. With computers they will build this shot and we need to deliver all the right ingredients: a special street in Tokyo surrounded by skyscrapers and the main actress walking while her hair and dress move in a special way. This was impossible to do on location – so we rebuild her ‘path’ in a studio and she performed in front a green screen.
Also we still needed a magical moment with the fish in the pond. Therefore we went to a fish farm with an extremely helpful farmer, who made it possible to shoot my dream shot. The local television made a small item about it.
Back in the montage studio our jigsaw puzzle gets more and more clear. Soon the first edited version will be ready.
