drowned

For a few weeks I’ve been totally drowned in the writing of my new novel ‘The Silent City’. Suddenly this morning I wrote my last chapter, it came quite unexpected. I knew I was reaching the end. I thought I needed a few more days to finish sudden lines but the characters drove me another way and I followed them.

I’m excited that I’ll fly home with a finished story though I want to try to dig one more layer deeper into the confused mind of my protagonist. But right now I’m too exhausted, have sore eyes and hands of non-stop typing. I need a short break before I’ll fly to Egypt next week for Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre. It’s a pity that here in the South of France, after weeks of heat, the weather now is breaking.
