Cooking at home

Research in Tokyo part 9:
Foreign women often are very isolated when they start living here in Tokyo. Today I interviewed Caroline Pover who made her business from that and wrote a book ‘Being A Broad in Japan’. Another aspect of my research here is my interest in different ways of cooking. There is the delicate way meals are prepared in exclusive restaurants and there is the motherlike way at home. Today I was guest at my friend Keiko’s house.

Keiko’s mother welcomed me with a tea ceremony.

Of course we had a lovely meal.
