The making-of of De passievrucht is reaching it’s final stage. There are just a few more days of shooting left; today the core scene with Jan Decleir and Carice van Houten. After such a relatively long time of following Maarten, who usually is very silent about his tactics, it was great to be present to hear and see how he was trying to dismantle the scene to it’s very heart. For the first time I was able to really follow it with my camera. Probably we needed all this time before he could do it so openly.

As for my own film, The Bird Can’t Fly, the insecure times are not over yet. My producers have a full-time job dealing with commissions and organisations drowned in rules and regulations.
