My first reading in public.

I’m still not used to the things a writer has to do. Take the phenomenon: a reading.
I got my first invitation from café ‘De Vliegende Koe’ on the island of Texel. It was a very nice evening; I lost the fear for reading out loud in public (I have to confess I simply loved to do this), and I fell in love with the barman. After my reading and the discourse that followed, he took up my book and started to read.

And kept reading and reading. When people ordered some wine he just put the bottle on the counter and said ‘help yourself’. This is the kind of compliments that make you instantly fall in love.

As for the film making; new finaniciers appear on the horizon…
