I’m in the midst of a very complicated project , which is much more difficult than I could ever imagine. For KunstFort Asperen, a huge old fortress in the midst of Holland, I’m creating an event for next year. I’m writing a series of short stories, some realistic, some extremely fictitiously.
These stories will lead the audience individually through this amazing building. Pretesting will be necessary, since all stories have to fit exactly the location. Because the fortress is closed from September till May for the hibernation of bats, I have to develop the stories now, so we can test it this summer.
Now, sitting behind my writing desk, I’m every day in this building (through films and photo’s). Because every detail of the rooms and spaces on the tour get a place in one of my stories. It’s a weird project and not easy… but that is what I like!
