I look back on an exceptional and happy year in which my life has changed very much, personally and professionally. And I shared nothing of this on social media thus far. Once you’re out of the artificial bubble you experience the benefits. The biggest advantage is time and peace of mind, which I used to love and to work.
My work (movies and novels) are always pure fiction. Right now a new branch is developing: the non-fiction story. The new feature film I’m working on is still fiction, but the new book I’m writing will become a funny mix of fiction and non-fiction.
I’m sure it won’t take long before I’ll write some complete non-fiction stories, like this article about Brr al Hikman for Roots Magazine. It is an exciting and very inspiring change. And it makes me look at the world with different eyes.
The last weeks I was often to be found among dairy cows. I’m trying to understand what it means to be a dairy cow, with all the pros and cons. I can tell you, it is a very interesting world to observe from the inside.
Of course we never know where a new year will lead us, whether we’ll find solutions or not. Even with this uncertainty, I wish everyone a very happy new year, with lots of time and peace to do the things you really want to do.
